Ferguson CLE Resume Submission & AI Job Board Terms and Conditions

By submitting your resume or any personal, academic, professional, employment, application, or career-related information ("Candidate Information") to The Ferguson Centers for Leadership Excellence ("The Ferguson CLE," "we," or "our"), whether through applications, forms, surveys, directories, resumes, cover letters, transcripts, LinkedIn profiles, job board activity, mentoring or coaching interactions, event registrations, email communications, interviews, networking activities, career services engagements, or any other means, and by accessing, using, or participating in our AI-enabled job board, career-services platform, resume book, student directory, or any associated tools or services (collectively, the "Services"), you acknowledge, consent, and agree to the following terms:

1. Voluntary Provision of Information
You affirm that the submission of Candidate Information is entirely voluntary and that you have full authority to provide such information. You assume all responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and reliability of any information you submit.

By submitting Candidate Information to The Ferguson CLE, you expressly consent to its use in connection with The Ferguson CLE's educational, leadership-development, mentoring, networking, recruiting, and career-services activities, including review by The Ferguson CLE staff and processing through technology platforms, software applications, artificial intelligence tools, and other systems utilized by The Ferguson CLE.

2. Consent to Processing and Disclosure
You grant The Ferguson CLE the right to collect, store, review, process, analyze, use, and share your Candidate Information with employers, corporate partners, donors, mentors, and third parties engaged in supporting The Ferguson CLE’s mission for the sole purposes of career exploration, employment consideration, and leadership development.

You understand and agree that The Ferguson CLE is not responsible for how any third party—including employers or technology vendors—uses, stores, retains, secures, interprets, or acts upon the information once it has been shared.

You further acknowledge and agree that The Ferguson CLE may use third-party software platforms, artificial intelligence tools, machine-learning systems, resume review technologies, career-development applications, recruiting technologies, and other service providers to assist in delivering career services, resume feedback, coaching, job matching, employment preparation, recruiting support, and related program activities. In connection with these activities, The Ferguson CLE may upload, submit, process, analyze, or otherwise share Candidate Information with such providers solely to support The Ferguson CLE's mission and Services.

3. Use of AI and Automated Systems
You acknowledge that the Services may use artificial intelligence, automated decision-making tools, algorithms, or data-matching technologies. These tools may generate recommendations, matches, insights, or rankings.

You understand that Candidate Information may be processed by artificial intelligence systems that generate resume feedback, candidate summaries, skills analyses, job matches, application recommendations, career-development insights, or other outputs. The Ferguson CLE may utilize such outputs as one component of its Services but does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or usefulness of any AI-generated information.

All automated outputs are provided “as is” without any representations or warranties regarding accuracy, fitness for purpose, or suitability, and you accept sole responsibility for evaluating any such outputs.

4. No Guarantee of Interviews, Offers, or Employment
The Ferguson CLE does not guarantee consideration by any employer, receipt of interviews, job offers or internships, hiring outcomes, or continued posting or maintenance of any employment opportunities. All hiring decisions are made solely and independently by third-party employers.

5. No Agency or Representation Relationship
The Ferguson CLE does not act as your agent, representative, or advisor in any hiring process. We do not negotiate terms of employment, validate employer claims, or conduct due diligence on participating companies.

6. Candidate Obligations and Conduct
You are solely responsible for ensuring all submitted information is truthful and up to date; applying for opportunities; preparing application materials; communicating with recruiters or employers; understanding and complying with employer application processes; verifying the legitimacy of job postings or communications; and protecting your own personal and financial information.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Ferguson CLE disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free service. The Services are provided strictly “as is” and “as available.”

8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Ferguson CLE, its officers, directors, employees, partners, mentors, contractors, volunteers, donors, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to use of the Services, reliance on AI-generated outputs, actions of employers or third parties, data breaches by third parties, inaccuracies in job postings, modification of Services, or hiring decisions and employment outcomes.

9. Data Security and Transmission Risks
While The Ferguson CLE takes reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect Candidate Information, you acknowledge that no system is completely secure. The Ferguson CLE cannot guarantee absolute security, and Candidate Information may be subject to risks inherent in electronic transmission, storage, and processing.

10. Right to Modify, Suspend, or Terminate Services
The Ferguson CLE reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without notice, to modify, suspend, discontinue, or revise any aspect of the Services. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any such changes.

11. Right to Request Removal or Updates
You may request correction or removal of your Candidate Information from The Ferguson CLE systems; however, The Ferguson CLE cannot guarantee removal from systems already accessed, copied, downloaded, or retained by third parties.

12. Educational and Career Development Purpose
The Ferguson CLE uses Candidate Information solely to support its educational, leadership-development, mentoring, networking, recruiting, and career-services mission. By participating in the Services, you consent to such use of your Candidate Information.

13. Governing Law
This Disclaimer and any disputes arising out of its terms or your use of the Services shall be governed by the laws of the state in which The Ferguson CLE is headquartered, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
